You got friendship in my magic! You got magic in my friendship! Mmm!
Also, note this is the director's cut version. We're probably not going to do the theater cut. Don't complain about the commentary track, just use a different video player please.

The first time I saw this movie I knew it was something I wanted us to translate. But I figured that since it was released by Warner Brothers, there is still a large following in the US and that there was actually a movie premier in the US that this movie was bound to get licensed. But as time passed, and there was no information about a US release, even though it had been licensed in like 60 other countries, I told myself that if a year passed since the Blu-Ray release date and there still was no information, I would translate it myself.
Well, it's been over a year, and so I'm proud to bring you the awesomeness that is the Rurouni Kenshin live action movie. I'd like to thank Azazel for timing this hideously long movie and managing to figure out how to properly rip and encode it, Yaiba, for making an amazing karaoke for the MV, and our wonderful QC team who hopefully caught all of my mistakes, especially the really stupid ones.
Even if you've never heard of Rurouni Kenshin before, give it a try, I can guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Stuff to know:
-
Since these files are huge, the different versions will be released one at a time.
-
The movie might look really thin, since it's not the 16x9 ratio that we're used to. It's widescreen cinema format.
So yeah, Satou Takeru has come a long way from Den-O, hasn't he? If you love Kenshin the anime/manga or Den-O, do check this out. It's a fun historic Japan movie.
Big thanks to Luna for heading this project. Probably wouldn't have been done without her.

If you're a newcomer to the series or just want to know more about the real Japanese history behind the movie, check out our wiki page about it:

Let me know if there are any other terms or historical stuff that you'd like us to clear up.

Man, this movie had some awesome bonuses. Like it came with this map of Tokyo that shows where all the events of the movie happened.
It also came with the script for the movie! How awesome is that? Look at this thing, it has the character and actor names. The character ages. And on the bottom, you can see all the scene numbers that they're in!
This thing is crazy too. It's only 35 pages long, so it's like a page per minute of movie time. And according to this, there are 35 scenes total. Being a script writer for toku must be a pretty sweet job.
As for the movie itself, we're only releasing the director's cut this time. We figure that most people probably wouldn't notice the difference from the theatrical cut. First audio track is stereo, second is surround, and third is commentary. If you use a shitty video player that plays all the sound tracks at the same time, then you'll need to use a different video program. The included bonus is a creditless version of the ending song.

What timing, considering Nakamura Yuuichi just retired. Anyway, here's a picture of Matsumoto Wakana (Airi) visiting the Japanese defense force.

Za Movie
Azazel has heard your cries for more Goseiger (especially Luna's) and thus he has bestowed upon you a 1080peed up version. Peed up? Verbing weirds language.

Blade Blu-Ray theater cut released
Have I ever mentioned my theory on why Toei never released the Director's Cut on Blu-ray? Just my guess, but I think that when they recut the director's cut, they only saved the footage in DVD quality. Ask anyone who's ever worked on a sub transition from theater cut version to director's cut. When they do the director cut, they just recut the whole thing, so all the timing is off by a little by from scene to scene. It's probably just easier to do it that way than to insert the new footage and make the audio sync.
Also, sorry about having no unmasked pics for Blade or Chalice. If you have any just send me a pm.
