No takenoko cut, sorry! I also didn't realize till just now that there were movie trailers that we could have reencoded. I don't think I have the script for it, anyway.

I received this question via e-mail. The reader was asking why the audio was so quiet in movies compared to the TV series. I told him I thought it was because the movies tend to be in surround sound, so maybe something makes it quieter. Perhaps when the different tracks are converted to stereo?
But honestly, I don't know. I'm sure someone here does though, so I'm asking the fans if they know.

I wish this were the cover art of my Blu-ray
Another Ghibli movie down the hatch. I liked it a lot. I'm a big fan of these small town stories about a small group of people. It's like Roddenberry's utopia in present times, everyone knows your name, they all work hard, no one is malicious, and the problems are either external or come from people being misguided. Maybe that's why we find Ghilbi works so appealing.
There's nothing I like better than to be sucked into a world and this movie does it. I loved the feeling of being in 60s Japan, hearing Sukiyaki in the background, seeing all the sights of Tokyo, the old town architecture, the encroaching industrialization and smog. The Quartier Latin (for some reason the Japanese switch it around) is wonderful in its early stage. It looks lived in, used, the clutter full of memory and signs of humanity. I almost prefer it to the cleaned up version. And like I said above, there's nothing like a small town setting. I also got stupidly excited when they got out the wooden rice bowl and opened up the floor panels to reveal hidden vegetables.

So for full disclosure, this Blu-ray does come with very good English captions. We took that script, added some honorifics in, did some rewording, and added a few translator notes to explain some obscure details. Thanks to everyone who helped contribute to this project. There's a lot of Saint Seiya fans out there.

Sorry about the naming convention, we didn't know it would be a trilogy when the first movie was released.

Sorry, fixed the audio now!
Like Initial D with Drake, Zeronos, and Snake, but not quite as good.

So sit down, fellers, and listen to my theory. I think that Travelers is what became of that rad Rebellions trailer from a few years ago.
A few years ago, we saw Nao and Tsukui Minami do a rad trailer. They were on bikes and wore tight outfits and fought monster stuff. It looks like they were originally backed by Toei and the director was Sakamoto Koichi.
But I guess they didn't get the money they needed. So they turned to Next Media of Taiwan to get the funding, and changed some stuff. We've still got Nao in a partner role (her new partner is Kinoshita Ayumi of Yuuko/Jasmine fame). There's still prominent bikes. the L is still big and capitalized in the center of both logos. I think the case is strong.

Some people had trouble with the surround sound track, so the version 2 includes a stereo track as the main one. The surround sound track is the secondary track if you still want it. Somehow this is your fault, Decade!
If you already have the file, Venares has a nifty trick for converting it from surround to stereo:
