The server will be going down between 7 and 8 PM CDT on Friday, August 25, 2023, for maintenance. It will impact everything on the server and is expected to last anywhere from 1 to 5 hours

At some point on Tuesday, October 12 after 11 AM CDT, the server will be unaccessible for some maintenance work. The downtime will last for a few hours.

Over the next few days, each part of the website will be going down in order to transfer them to a new server. The wiki will be the first to be transferred. The transfer needs to be completed before June 1.

The server will be going down on Thursday, April 13 at 5 PM CDT for an upgrade. The upgrade should only take 2 to 5 hours. This will affect only the wesite and tracker

A new feature was added to the tracker that will allow you to click on a heading in the torrents table to sort by that heading.

There was an issue with the tracker from restarting the server last night that I did not catch. It has since been resolved.

There has been news that the software we use for the front page may have been hacked. I have taken the precaution of replacing the old installation with a new patched one and testing the old one for any modifications. It does not appear that we were affected, but not all hacks will leave a trace. Therefore, I have taken action to force a password reset on every forum account. Please make sure to reset your wiki password as well!

The forums are back up! If you are unable to log into the forums, you must delete the cookies from the tvnihon.com domain (and all subdomains).

The forums and front page will be going down for maintenance on Monday, May 21 at 12:00 AM CDT (6:00 AM BST). During this time the forums will go down to be moved to a new URL (forums.tvnihon.com) and then the front page will go down for an upgrade.

Over the next couple of days the URLs on the site will be changing. The tracker has been moved to http://tracker.tvnihon.com. Please update your bookmarks to reflect this. There is a permanent redirect in place so the old links will continue to work. The forums will be moved to http://forums.tvnihon.com within the next few days if all goes well with the tracker. This has been done because the site is growing (we will be adding a wiki soon) and the new URLs should make navagation easier.

There will be some server downtime tonight as I transfer everything over to the new server. The process will take a couple hours. Once this is done, the site will be up for most people fairly quickly; however, for some it may take up to 24 hours for the site to come back up.
Edit: By tonight, I mean the early morning of 5/21 in the central daylight timezone.
