Captain Nemo went away, 5, 4, 3, 2...
Thread / Wiki
Looks like the SD data on the torrent isn't updating, but it's active. Must be a glitch or something.

Megaupload Stuff
Hey, does anyone want to try adding our files to the new Megaupload incarnation?
https://mega.co.nz/
When you've done that, put the link in the Submit Links forum. And let us know how it's working out for you somewhere. Feedback forum?
Images on Wiki Stuff
By the way, it'd be really great if we had more people adding pictures to our wiki. I know the new Requeset Account feature seems really dumb, so feel free to make up stuff for the part where it asks for your real name. For the biography section, just write down something to prove you're not a spam bot. (I think it requires a lot of words so feel free to copy and paste it a few times)

Thank Q, because we've got RSS feeds again for the tracker:

Capture Stuff
We just replaced our tuner. Hopefully this week we'll be able to capture the video as it airs. I'm sure I don't need to tell you how hard it is to do this work if we're tripping up the very first step in the process.

So I guess we're having trouble installing the drivers to the new machine. Maybe because it's 64bit Windows 8 and before it was just Windows XP? The name of the driver is BonDriver and this is the error message that it spits out. It basically says it can't activate the hardware:
BonDriverの初期化ができません。
チューナを開けません。
BonDriver にチューナを開くよう要求しましたがエラーが返されました。
Also, does anyone here know HTML or wiki format? I'm trying to format a menu for the top of the series pages for the wiki, but I'm running into some difficulty.
I talk about it in this thread here: http://forums.tvnihon.com/viewtopic.php?f=202&t=12053#p178465

Stop and delete your torrent. Find your partially downloaded file name and remove the extra "5" in it. Now download the new torrent and resume. Thanks!

I guess they're done filming Go-Busters. Thank you for all your work!
Thread / Wiki
So our wiki supports image uploading now. You might notice that I've started hosting the front page pictures there.
What I really like about having it on the wiki is that I can just tag something [[Category: Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters]] and it automatically puts it in the right place:
http://wiki.tvnihon.com/wiki/Category:Tokumei_Sentai_Go-Busters
It'd be really cool if people could add to our image collection. Obviously you need to be signed in, but here's the upload link:
http://wiki.tvnihon.com/wiki/Special:Upload
The one drawback is that you can only upload one picture at a time.
For new users, we're manually approving those accounts to try to reduce spammers. If your account isn't activated within a day, e-mail me.

So the new wiki server can support image uploading. That's been a feature that I've wanted for a long time.
Not sure what the user permissions is currently, but people who have the right to upload should have a link on their left menu bar (Alt+Shift+U also works). Looks like there's an error when trying to edit currently, but hopefully that'll sort itself out.
I created a thread to discuss policies and potential issues that this new function brings up:

...we have replaced her with this bag of marbles instead.
So I was gone the last few days because I was at my cousin's wedding. (Congrats Richard and Joyce!) Pretty fun, but also a bit hard when you're single.
To get to the point, I have some bad news to convey. So we got the computer last week and did all the setup (while I was preparing to go away for the weekend.) Then the harsh nature of reality struck, and the tuner hardware just stopped working.
At first we thought it was a bad install or the drivers. But from what I read of the error message, it is more like the hardware itself is either broken, not powered, or the usb cord is bad, or stuck in a busy mode and not accessable from the computer. It's pretty crazy. We even moved it back to the netbook in a desperate attempt to cap something, but it didn't work.
Sorry, I know this isn't what you guys want to hear after the successful drive last week. All I can do is ask people to be patient as we bang our heads together and try to form some solution to this problem.
Because I was gone, I also am behind on answering e-mails. If you sent me anything in the last week, I'll probably be answering them this week.

Since we received more than expected, we poured everything into a top of the line computer. It doesn't look like much, but apparently it's as powerful as it gets? I actually won't be around this weekend, so let's hope that its trial run is a smooth one!
Thanks again to everyone who donated. You guys are the best! This will make our jobs subbing weeklies a lot easier.

Thanks a lot to everyone who donated. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. This will sound kind of dumb, but we do this sort of stuff because we like the shows and the work that it entails. It's pretty nice to know that people are willing to put money into supporting the work that we do.
Some people wrote apologizing for small donations. To those people, I say don't. That's money you chose to give, and that means a lot whether it's a big donation or a small one. The exchange of money isn't a light one. We're basically faceless strangers on the Internet, but you've displayed an act of faith and trust that we are deeply appreciative of.
It's not much, but I think we should include a thanks page crediting the donors on the first episodes we release with the new computer. It's going to be opt-in. If you've donated, just e-mail me with how you want to be credited, or you can dedicate it to someone else if you want.
Again, thanks to all of you who donated. You guys are awesome and this is really a meaningful gift to our little community.
Edit: I'm about to start personally responding to all the e-mail notices. If I don't respond, please drop me an e-mail to make sure I didn't miss one. Thanks!

As for the donations, I feel like we'll have enough after today. So don't feel obligated to donate after that. Thanks to everyone who has donated so far. I'll be sure to respond to your e-mails tonight.

Hello! I'm here to ask for money today.
We've been working to set up a system for capping our own work raws in Japan lately. I thought we had a decent setup, but I guess not since it sort of ate it 8 minutes into Wizard yesterday. I mean, I kind of knew it wasn't a powerhouse of a machine, but after doing some investigation it apparently only has 1 gb or ram and runs at 1.66 ghz. Not terribly suited for being a media work horse.
If we could get a few hundred bucks, we could probably get our member in Japan a decent laptop or something. I can't really ask this person to put in any more money since the capture equipment was a few hundred dollars already. I'm willing to throw in about 100 bucks myself, so maybe a tentative goal of 400-500 would be good?
You can always donate via the paypal link at the top. I really hate to ask you guys for money like this, but sometimes we have to deal with the fact that money makes the world turn round. Anyway, thanks guys for your support as always!
